A published formula, not a black box
Each answer runs from 0 (fully institutionalized) to 4 (critical founder dependency). An area's score is the share of maximum dependency across the questions you answered. The overall index is the weighted average of the areas, so the same answers always give the same score.
An area with fewer than three answers is marked Insufficient evidence. With fewer than six scored areas, no overall score is shown.
Weights and bands are Salto's initial assumptions, not validated benchmarks. The index is not a valuation.
